This article from Perkins International describes Sobti, which is a Vocational Training Program in India, started by a group of parents.  Students learn to create numerous items including artificial jewelry, seasonal food items, candles, and greeting cards.  The youth learn lifeskills, such as shopping and using public transportation.  Read more about this project and see examples of their handicrafts.
